Quietness begins before form. It starts by deciding what an object truly needs to communicate, then removing every gesture that competes with that purpose.安静并不始于形态，而是始于判断一个物件真正需要传达什么，再移除所有与这一目的竞争的姿态。
Proportion as information作为信息的比例
Proportion carries more information than decoration. A small shift in thickness, edge radius or negative space can make the whole object feel calmer and more precise.比例比装饰承载更多信息。厚度、边缘半径或负空间的微小变化，都能让整个物件显得更平静、更准确。
Material that explains会说明的材料
Material should explain how the object is made and how it will age. Surface decisions become strongest when they support construction rather than conceal it.材料应当解释物件如何被制造、又将如何老化。当表面处理支持而非遮掩构造时，它才最有力量。
